I was supposed to be working.

I was in a training seminar all day today and then stayed at work till 9pm. So I'm just winding down now.


First up I'm really glad to have just received my Canon S2 IS back from repair. I haven't used it since late fall last year because the swivel LCD in the back started acting up. I only got around to sending it to Canon this month and now I glad to see it works just fine. It will be good to have this little unit to carry around instead of the big one.


Another minor thing is that I finally got around to upgrading the memory in my iBook. A simple 512MB chip and then updating my operating system to the latest Apple release has definitely added some extra zing in the old system. Got the chip on special for $15 (after a $30 rebate). sweet!

I've seen a lot of these types of photos on the internet before, but I never paid any particular attention to them. So I was surprised when, coming from my brother's place in the hills, I decided to get a shot of the view of the neighboring foothills from inside the car, and I replicated the effect quite by accident.

The actual view is a bit dramatic (to me at least -- nothing like my photo here ;).

And I just learned a few hours ago that, apparently, there actually is a technique to this type of shot.

The weather has been great this whole past week. I couldn't resist taking a quick shot of the colors as we were going out tonight. Sorry it's a bad shot but all my photos lately have been pretty bad.
