Last Saturday was a community tree planting event at my bike trail project. It was organized by Sheri at our landscape design section. Above, Jim and Sheri demonstrate to community volunteers the proper way of planting trees.

The China and I planted about 5 trees. Here we are with Sheri and daughter and one of our newly planted trees. Every time we pass by here, we can now point out the trees that we planted!

We took some time to join in celebrating Alexa's 7th birthday.

Then we were off to visit Gari's home, about 4 minutes away. I was able to get quick shots of some works of sculptor Pete Jimenez. I think this piece is called Bruha-ka. I wonder why...?
